2011-12 HighlightsI am a junior at Webster Thomas High School in upstate New York. I have been playing basketball my whole life and I enjoy every second of it. I love the game and it is my life. I am currently 6’1’’ and weigh 175 pounds. This past season I was awarded 1st team all-county as well as MVP of my team. I am a hard working athlete who is always looking for improvement and will do whatever it takes to be the best athlete that I can be. I am a very good listener and take in all information that someone has to offer me good or bad. I am also very smart on the basketball court and know what to do in certain situations. Pressure does not get to me and I love playing on the big stages. I think that everyone has the potential to be a great athlete but only a few have the will power to make it happen. I am one of those athletes that strive to always improve. I am one of the first players to get onto the court to get as many shots as I can before practice starts and also one of the last to leave. It has always been a dream of mine to play basketball at college ever since I was young. I was very fortunate to have an older sister who loved to read and would let me watch sporting events on tv instead of cartoons. I would not go to bed until I knew my parents were recording the games of the night so I could watch them first thing in the morning. This started when I was 18 months old! I was also fortunate to have my dad very involved in coaching all my sports teams. I love the support of my mom and two sisters Jessica and Michaela for attending all my numerous games. I am interested in attending a university that will provide me with a quality education in addition to a college that will help me improve my basketball game overall. I would like to major in real estate or business management. My goals for college are to get a good education, play at the highest level I am capable of playing, and to make an impact for the team I am playing on. Remember the name Tyler Carges because I am sure you will not be disappointed with the student athlete you will receive in him.
