Ever since I started playing in the local town rec league I always had the dream of playing at the college level. First I started in the micro soccer league then went to the World cup league through Webster Soccer Association. In 2012 I tried out for the town travel team and have been looking forward to playing at the college level ever since. In 2015, I played on the premier team and we won the Akron New York tournament. Ever since that day I have been a call-up player for many other teams. In 2016, I was awarded the golden boot award for scoring 28 goals in a season. Also in 2016, my team won the Lakefront Classic Showcase Tournament which I ended up playing goalie in the championship game. This past season, for my travel team, I won the team “MVP” award which my coach had said over his 20+ years of coaching he had only given it out once before. During my high school seasons, I have been the leading scorer for every team. During my first year on the freshman team, I broke the freshman school record for shots in a season and was named captain of the team. During my JV season, I was the team captain as well as leading scorer for the team.
I believe I have all the key attributes to compete at the college level by being a team captain on many different levels and different teams. I also believe being a 2 sport athlete in soccer and track that I can bring determination every day and have an amazing work ethic. I know with my leadership skills that I can make it to the next level.
