Darius Dawson '19 Recruiting Profile

My Goal is to play basketball at the collegiate level, while pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Playing college basketball has always been a dream of mine, since I was in 8th grade.  I started playing basketball when I was around 8 years old in a local church league.  Then in the 8th grade is when I started playing competitive on a private school JV team.   

What inspired me to play basketball was the love of the game, the physicality, the competition, and having that family bond with players outside your family.  My character that I bring on the court has also been a big plus to my game play.  I am level-headed and a disciplined ball player.  I am not over confident with my game, but I play with a lot of intensity.  That drive is what led me to grab 26 rebounds and score 19 points in one game against a SC top ranking school.
