Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I played starting point guard for our 2018-19 freshman team and for our 2019-20 JV team in a 4A district in Glen Rose, Texas, was on Varsity as a point guard for our 2020-21 Bi-District Champion team, and am currently the starting point guard for our 2021-22 Varsity team.
My favorite quote, popularized by Kevin Durant when he was selected as National College Basketball Player of the Year in 2007, is “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.” ― Tim Notke.
I have this quote on a framed poster in my room, and it is the first thing that I see when I wake up in the morning. Every day, I am in the gym or at the goal at my house, working hard to improve my shot and my skills, because there are people who are more talented than me, but I work hard to make sure that I am the best version of me that I can be and that my hard work results in me becoming an outstanding player. There is always room for improvement, and I am dedicated to constantly improving my game.
I have tremendous love for the game and a lot of heart. My coaches say that I am extremely dedicated, a hustler, and a team player. I have good court vision, am unselfish, and my teammates know that I will work hard to make them and my team successful.
I want to play at the collegiate level and I am open-minded about where my best fit will be. As long as it is a school where I can develop as a student-athlete, I'm open to almost any size school, in any division, anywhere in the United States. I believe that I will make a positive contribution, both on and off the field, to any school. After college, my current plans are to teach and coach basketball.
