Reiko "R.J." Hurd '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Reiko Hurd Jr., but I have gone by R.J. my entire life. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to play college basketball. I began playing basketball at the age of 6, and do not plan to stop playing anytime soon. I would like to stay apart of this game as long as possible. I would love to ultimately make it to the highest level of the game, that is my ultimate dream. I have also began to understand that the game of basketball can take you many places, not only as a player, but also as a coach, commentator, or working within a college or professional organization. My plan is to major in Education once I make it to college. 

I also play football, and I was fortunate to gain some valuable experience as a Freshman at the Varsity level in both, football and basketball. I plan to continue to build on that beginning to my career.

I moved to Rosharon, TX in November of 2020, and now attend Manvel HS.  I am ready to become fully immersed in the world of a basketball. My goal is to continue to work hard while achieving my goals as a student athlete. I am open to colleges at all levels, and all states. I would love to make it to the Division 1 level, but I am interested in  Division, 2, Division 3,  NAIA, and JUCO schools as well.
