My collegiate goals are to pursue a degree in sports management as I prepare for life off the court. My true position on the court is a point guard and in that position you're required to be the coach on the court. With that being said, I have a high IQ for the game. I am very coach-able and fast learning. The difference between myself and other talented players is my ability to listen and execute instruction.
As you may see in my highlights, I am a facilitating point guard that can score when necessary. If the situation requires, I can dominate and put points on the board by going hard to the basket, or pulling up for a jump shot,. I also play sound defense and read players to see where their weaknesses are. I understand the importance of getting my team involved and how that impacts the game on the defensive end. Because of that, I prefer to facilitate and put teammates in the best position that play's to their individual strengths.
In the classroom, I am just as focused and am only satisfied if I obtain a B or better. Outside of my parents emphasizing the importance of school, I understand that it helps with the critical thinking utilized on the court.
