Desmond Williams '23 Recruiting Profile

As a military kid, I've been exposed to a diverse range of cultures and experiences. So I know what it's like to always be on the go and meet new people. Going to college would be a great accomplishment for me because no one in my family had the opportunity to continue their education after high school, so I want to be the first in my family to do so and be the most successful person I can be. I try to be the best player on the court and in the classroom. I am a team player who prioritizes the success of the team before my own. My playing style is to pass first and then take if we need to score. I always want to put my all into learning the game of basketball and better myself on a daily basis. I want to play high-level basketball to help develop my basketball abilities and knowledge of the game, as well as grow in my studies and establish a name for myself off the court. A great player understands how to help his team, not just himself, succeed. As a multi-dimensional player, I study the game, practice execution according to the game, maintain good study habits, cultivate great relationships with my family, teachers, and coaches, and, most importantly, work harder than everyone else. I believe that I can add a lot to whatever college that I attend and that I can develop and do a lot there, and I'll count myself fortunate if I'm accepted and welcomed by anyone.
