One thing I've noticed over the years I've been in high school is how much I am willing to work to get to the position I want. My freshman year, I was a skinny 5'10 135 pound guard who played on the freshman basketball team. I ended up getting hurt halfway through the season and wasn't able to compete in many of the games. That summer the only thing I had locked in my mind was making varsity and my sophomore year I earned a spot on the team. Fast forward to my junior year, I now start on Varsity and play a huge role in leading my team. Although I didn't start out as the most skilled or athletic player, my work ethic helped me get far. I can guarantee that if you give me a spot in your program, I will come to practice everyday with the same intensity and drive to make sure that I'm not only improving on the court, but off the court as well.
