Jayson Monday '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Jayson Monday and I am a rising sophomore point guard at George Washington High School.  I love the game of basketball and want to play at the highest level possible.  My goal is to get a great college education while playing basketball so that I can pursue my dream of studying medicine one day.

As a freshman I played and started as point guard on the junior varsity team. I averaged 15 points per game and 80% from the foul line. I am working hard to be a major contributor on the varsity team next season. I want to help bring our team back to the state tournament and win the title. In this off-season I am working every day on building my physical strength, shooting and fundamentals with my trainer. I am also the starting point guard for my travel team, WV Infinity Elite.  We made it to the Sweet 16 in the USBA Nationals in last summer. 

I work hard to do my best at everything I do. I am a straight A student at the #1 ranked school in the state of West Virginia. I would be a great asset to a team as a player because I stay focused on reaching my goals both for myself and for my team. I like to win!
