Personal Statement
At 4 years old I began diving during the summers. I had always had fun with it, but I never saw it as something I wanted to put a lot of time into until I was about 13. Since then I began participating in year-round diving programs. I'm currently with Dominion Dive Club and have participated in camps at RipFest a couple of times a year. I have also set high school records at West Potomac High School and I have been a regional finalist every year. I have two more years of high school and hope to make the best of them before I have to move on to compete in college. For the past few summers I have worked as a coach for a summer league at my local pool, the same one I had been competing in for all these years. Diving has been one of the main pillars of my life for a long time.
I am interested in attending college and studying pre-medicine or pre-professional studies. I make friends easily and I would be comfortable with a college or university that is anywhere from 40 minutes from home to as far as a few states away. Because of my easy going personality, a strong level of respect for others, and my ability to cooperate with others I feel I would be a good addition to any team that considers me a good addition to theirs.
