Nathan Augustine '23 Recruiting Profile

It started with a tee shot on a par 3 145 yards over a creek. Never having touched a club before and in a father-son tournament, I hit the green. I was hooked and I knew golf was my sport from that point on. While golf was never my first choice, I have had the opportunity to play club soccer, basketball, and baseball and I know what it’s like to play at a competitive level. Golf provided both a physical and mental challenge unlike any other while also providing exhilarating moments that live with me forever.  I am excited and interested in playing golf at the next level. 

I find the game of golf to be more than just a sport. I see it with many benefits. It has taught me more skills to handle than any other sport on and off the course. I enjoy that golf provides both learning and a great opportunity to further excel in my game both on the course and in life. I currently play in the SCPGA tournaments in the Players Tour, Futures Champions league, and competitively at a high school level.

I take rigorous courses and strive for great grades.  Currently, I am participating in NHS with a 4.0 GPA. It allows me to work with the community and help out. I am also employed and enjoy investing with Crypto, Stocks and Silver Coin Collecting and I have aspirations to join the business field. I feel this will put me in a position for the future and give me the best chance to succeed.
