Personal Statement
I grew up an expat in Bermuda from an English father and an American mother. Being surrounded by more golf courses per capita than any other country, golf was a likely sport to throw ones self into. I had a club in my hand from as early as I can remember. Finally, when I turned eight, I was old enough to play in BJGA ( Bermuda Junior Golf Association). They were sticklers for golf etiquette and "The Rules". We competed weekly and the results were always posted in The Bermuda Royal Gazette...incentive! At nine, I got my first Hole- in-One, I was hooked! I took a brief winter season time away from golf when I had to leave the island for 7th, 8th and 9th grades at a junior boarding school in New England that did not have a golf program. Last year, I switched to Suffielf Academy, in Suffield , Ct. I made Varsity and recieved the end of season MVP award. Now in my Junior year, I have been named team Captain. I look forward to a strong season.
