I have always had the influence of golf in my life but I did not take it seriously until my freshman year of high school. I had occasionally played with my father and friends but by high school, I realized that I was good at golf and I wanted to pursue the sport. I tried out and made the JV team fall of sophomore year and haven’t put the clubs down since. I would like to continue to play golf at a competitive level in college. I started this sport later than most so my commitment to success is strong. I work on my game in the off-season and have hired a personal coach. I am humbled by my successes because I have had to work harder because I started so late. I am graduating from a private college prep high school and my grades don’t tell my whole story. I thrive in a project-based learning environment and test anxiety has always been something I struggle with. However, my grades are important to me and I take advantage of every opportunity to succeed. I am always growing as a person, student, and athlete and I am tremendously proud of the successes I have achieved.
