Recruiting Video ...My current TUGR class rank is #86. My goal is to play competitive higher-level Division 1 golf. I am a responsible, clean-living teenager who enjoys being a dedicated student-athlete. I take both my golf and academics very seriously. I have played in several provincial, national, and international golf tournaments up to this point in my career. My main goal as of right now would be to play on a competitive team with a coach who can help me grow and mature as a student-athlete and get my game ready for professional golf. I not only want to be a professional golfer, but I also want to give back to the golf community. Because all great success starts somewhere and it's important to not forget who helped you along the way. Being from Canada, I'm truly excited to see how great my game could develop while being able to play and practice year-round.
I have won 4/4 tournaments in 2025. I qualified for the USwing Worlds, selected to represent Canada in Portland at the Junior America’s Cup, and selected to tryout for Team Canada U21 development team in the fall of 2025.
Highlights of my career so far is a win at the 2025 U19 Golf Canada NextGen Western Championship, a win at the 2025 Golf Canada NextGen Prairie Championship, and a top 50 at the IMG World Junior twice. I shot a 63, 70 (-11) and won by 10 shots in an MJT event At Redtail Landing. I have also have had many MJT wins, and many top 3 finishes in provincially sanctioned tournaments. Also, a win by 10 shots at the PGA of Alberta Major in 2024. I also had a tournament low of 67 at the U19 Provincial High School 4A Championships as a freshman. I currently have the lowest MJT ranking for my age in Alberta, and 2nd in all of Canada. I qualified to represent Canada at the 2025 Junior America's Cup this summer on Portland Oregon. I have already played in a few national and international level tournaments and plan to play some more next summer. I am a consistently lower-scoring player who enjoys developing my game throughout the year as we have an indoor golf facility at our home.
I have been selected to represent Team Alberta, Team MJT, and CJGA Team Canada more than once. At this point in my junior career, I am solely focused on the larger provincial and national tournaments that are mainly WAGR ranked. I plan on growing and gaining strength over this coming off-season as I am a late bloomer with lots of room to grow and develop physically. I want to see if your program would be interested in having me join in the fall of 2027. I am confident I would be a solid addition to your program.
Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you or someone from your program. I will be a great teammate and a very dedicated student-athlete.
Sincerely,
Chase Lassman
