I am part of the University Lab School, Baton Rouge, LA graduating class of 2024. I have maintained a rigorous course schedule, lettered in golf since my freshman year, maintained a part-time job, participated in club organizations, and volunteer work, as well as, honoring my family commitments. My academic goal is to be accepted into a Mechanical Engineering program +/- Aeronautical Engineering. My athletic goal is to continue to grow my golf career in college.
I began playing golf during the lock-down associated with the COVID pandemic. Prior to this, I played soccer, swam, and I was a competitive gymnast from 1st grade through 8th grade. The gym was closed due to social distancing which resulted in me picking up my golf clubs; this was the beginning of my desire to grow my game of golf. I have been an active participant in my high school golf team since my freshman year and have participated in tournament play with US Kids Gulf Coast, Kelly Gibson Junior Golf Tour, Louisiana Golf Association and Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. I’ve had the pleasure of attending the golf camp at the Air Force Academy during the past two summers.
A few of my most recent tournament experiences include the Louisiana Amateur Qualifier at Ellendale Golf Course in Houma, Louisiana where I shot 78 and qualified to play in the 104th Louisiana Amateur Championship scheduled for July20-23rd. In addition, I played in the USSSA Governor’s Games where I shot 75-76. Most recently, I played in the 66th Louisiana Junior Amateur Championship at Beaver Creek Golf Course, Zachary, LA. I qualified for the championship round and finished the tournament out shooting 76-78-77.
My expectations for the next four years are to find a college or university that will provide a supportive community that will allow me to achieve the highest academic and career successes while also providing me an environment that allows me to continue to develop and grow my golf game.
