Hello coaches, my name is Aaryan Tomar. The first time I ever picked of a set of clubs was in the 7th grade, and I never looked back since. From playing for fun with my dad, to playing in state level tournaments 3 years later, the sport of golf has evolved and taught me life lessons. It has modeled me and changed me to the person I am today. When I first started playing in tournaments in my Freshman year of high school, I was averaging low 90's, however, within a year, I managed to decrease my average from the 90's to the high 70's in my Sophomore year. Although I still continue to improve and work everyday, I believe this aspect of me is what makes me different from others as I am never satisfied with my game, and always want to improve and learn. I always make sure to do the ground work, as I practice day in and day out, purely for the love of the game, and this is a direct example of how the game has modeled me to become who I am today. A hard worker. I never had the natural inbuilt talent, instead, I had to practice and work hard to get to the skill level that I am currently at. I believe that my hard work does not stand for golf, but also translates to everything I do. Wether it be clubs or academics, I always make sure to give myself a challenge, and motivate myself to do the best I possibly can. By doing so, not only do I maintain a positive mindset, but I also remain calm and relaxed, which is another key element while playing golf. I never get flustered on the course, and understand that as long as their are holes left to play, it is never over. As a pure enthusiast of the game of golf, I aspire to play at the collegiate level as I believe it will be another positive challenge for me, requiring the best of me and my skills.I also aspire to play collegiate golf as I want to continue my academic career, as well as continue to improve as a player. Finally, I aspire to play college golf for the most important reason. For the love of the game.
