I have always enjoyed the game of golf, shifting my focus to golf as a competitive sport 2 years ago. I am what is often referred to as a "late starter" which is true in terms of tournament experience. As an athlete (gymnastics, baseball and skiing) I have always relished the competition that sports encompass. Two years ago I was fortunate to find a coach (Ken Lewis, UCLA women's coach in the past) who both inspired and taught me the technical parts of the game, which I lacked. I am now focused on tournament play and practicing with a purpose, which all seem to help make dramatic improvements in my game. I plan on focusing on practice and conditioning through the fall and winter months long after the weather turns nasty, while utilizing an excellent indoor facility, which includes the latest indoor technology including Trackman. Come spring time I will be ready to play my part in bringing home a fourth straight state title to Christian Brothers Academy and thanks to the support of my family, be ready to continue a full schedule of tournaments and practice.
As I pursue my dream of participating in collegiate athletics, I am optimistic that ultimately I will attend a university where I will be a benefit to the school, my fellow classmates and teammates academically, athletically, and socially.
