Zachary "Z-BO" Olsen '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Zachary Olsen, and I am a rising Junior at Houston High School in Germantown, TN.  I would like to provide you with some information about myself, my golf game, and future goals that I have set, both academically and athletically. 

 I started golfing when I was 4 years old.  My father and I would play together at our then home course, Germantown Country club, which had been used as a PGA qualifying course.  My father not only taught me how to play but he also instilled in me a passion and love for the game so much that I spend all of my free time outside of School, either practicing my swing and honing my skills on the golf course or at the gym to build my strength to enhance my game.  As a young player I participated in many of the more notable tours such as Send’s, US Kids, USJGT and CJGA and continue to do so today.

I attend Houston High School and currently hold a GPA of 3.3.  For the past 2 years I have been an integral part of the Houston High School Varsity golf team, helping them reach the TSSAA State Tournament.  In my Junior year I will be the most experienced member of the team and look forward to stepping up as the team leader.   

I have also begun to recently focus on weight training and nutrition to improve my body and better my golf game.  I am excited to teach my teammates what I have learned over this summer and show them how it has personally improved my golf game.  I am constantly striving to be the best I can be, both in the classroom and on the golf course.
