Personal Statement
I have prepared myself to make a significant impact to a great college golf team. I like college a lot and am committed to achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 in Business Administration with a emphasis on Management, Sports Management & Entrepreneurship. It is very important to me to achieve strong grades consistently to eliminate any distractions for the team and my coach. I work 6-days a week, as a student of the game and continue to improve knowing that complete mastery of the game is not possible. I'm a dedicated, loyal and level person that offers stability to the environment. I've played one professional event, with 236 players in the field finishing 17th. I was one of two amateurs to make the Sunday cut. I shot -1 on the final day in some really crazy weather conditions. This was a defining experience for me at 16 years old as I played with numerous DI golfers and touring golf professionals.
I attended two different high schools, in two different states. My Sophomore year after only one year at Xavier High School I was selected the team Captain. Then, upon relocating back to Texas I was appointed the team Captain early in my Junior season and led the team for two years. I worked directly with the coach to help all of our players improve their game, workout sessions and competitive attitude.
I will complete my first year of college and Division I college golf in April and return to Texas. I'm very comfortable with the pace, change and expectations required to perform at the top in the classroom, workout room and on the course. Daily management of a rigorous schedule is routine for me. I embrace change, am highly adaptable and work well with all personality types.
My goal is continued growth, improvement and success in all aspects of life.
