Collin Turner '09 Recruiting Profile

Attended Radford U. this past year. My name is Collin Turner. I played varsity golf all four years at Atlee High School under Jamie Edwards, with the exception of my junior year, where I played under Jason Clip. Throughout my golf career I have been told that with my "exceptional natural skill and understanding of the game I will play professional golf at some point in my life," words spoken by Ty Croghan. My dream has always been to play professional golf, but for now I want to play division one college golf. During high school I was a team captain for three years, with a co-captain position during my sophomore year. I bring remarkable knowledge and leadership to any team. I will make players on the team better by working with them on how to play the game properly through correct decisions. I would like to play for a strong college team, with a coach that can further me in the game. I would like to stay close to VA, or play for schools that are in neighboring states, but truthfully any opportunity is welcome. The size of the school does not matter to me as much as playing and supporting the school's athletic program. I have not yet chosen a major for my degree. My realistic goals for my career are to play golf on a team and be the number one guy. I'm a leader not a follower. I have the ability to lead players by example.
