My journey with the sport of hockey started at the age of 5 when some Canadian boys moved in down the street and taught me how to play. I've been passionate about and loved the sport ever since. Hockey has been a wild ride for me, from the countless hours spent in the car, on drives throughout the Southwest, to flying coast to coast, all the while, and creating relationships with people who will be friends for a lifetime. Hockey has really shaped who I am today, by teaching me a great deal of discipline, commitment, and maturity. Hockey has also shown me that it's not just about how skilled you are, it's about your work ethic, how coachable you are and how bad you want it.
My goal for hockey is just like every other kid's, to make it as far as I possibly can. I truly believe that I can reach my goals, as long as I keep my head up in the low moments and keep working as hard as possible. Academically, I want to maintain above a 3.5 average GPA, for all my years in high school. Hockey has really helped me in school, in a physiological aspect, through the commitment to my work.
