Personal Statement
I am a multi-sport athlete and am currently 6'0" and 160 lbs. Currently, I play center for the Yale Bulldogs U18 AAA hockey team and Loomis Chaffee School Varsity team. Currently, I am a rising Senior at the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut. During the spring I played Varsity Lacrosse as a midfielder at the Loomis Chaffee School and during the summer I play lacrosse for the Red Devil United travel lacrosse team.
I strive to play collegiate hockey at the highest level while getting a great education that will provide a solid foundation for a successful career. My current academic interests are Chemistry, Environmental Science and Sustainability as well as Environmental Law.
My previous coaches have all said that they enjoy having me as part of their programs because I am coachable and have an outstanding work ethic with a hunger to improve and to be my best on the ice and off the ice. They describe me as a physically fit strong skater who gets stronger as the game goes on. I am able to beat defenders wide and get pucks to the net and shoot in stride accurately and I am able to find teammates joining the play late. They also tell me that I show maturity on and off the ice, that I am consistent, reliable and responsible in all three zones of the ice and like to go into the high traffic areas. My hockey sense allows me to move between different positions (forward and defense) on the fly during a game when needed and they say that I am a player that makes the people around me better.
My name is Isaac Joshi. I am excited and looking forward to the journey to becoming a successful collegiate student athlete.
