I have loved being on the ice as long as I can remember. Growing up playing hockey has taught me about dedication and leadership, as well as disappointment. I have experience a lot from the game of hockey and some of those experiences include: waking up early to travel to games or having multiple in one weekend, leading my team through tough games, and falling short of winning the championship multiple times. From playing hockey, I have learned more about teamwork. I care about my teammates as much as my own family, and want us to succeed as one.
As a student athlete, I have learned about work-ethic and commitment. Learning more about these two character traits have helped me in both aspects of life. On my 2017-2018 Bantam house team, we won our first tournament. I will never forget the focus and drive, as well as teamwork that had been put into that game. These 9 years of playing has meant a lot academically and athletically, and I know I can do more with my talent. I am looking for a program that fit my academic needs, but also correspond to what I want out of athletics. I am different from other recruits, because my heart and drive are incomparable. I strive to be the best at all hints I do, and I’m able to grow from criticism. I am prepared to apply my talents to my education, as well as on the ice.
Thank you for your time,
Kayden
