Personal Statement
- My name is John Dapron, I am a year 2003 from St. Louis Missouri where I play Hockey. I am currently a Junior at St. John Vianney Catholic College Prep Highschool. I'm here on NCSA so I can Peruse and chase my goals and dreams in life. I Currently play Junior Hockey in the NA3HL for the St. Louis Jr. Blues. Last Season I played Tier 1 Hockey with the St. Louis AAA blues where I really grew as a player and person, allowing me to now compete at the Junior Level. My goal is to play Hockey and Compete at the NCAA D1, D2, D3 College level and am willing to do whatever it takes to get to that point. There are several reasons why I believe I would be a great candidate for your team. Firstly, I am very coachable, and put 110% effort every time I step on the Ice, I am a goal scorer and love to use my speed to find open ice and get in the dirty areas. Secondly, I see the Ice very well, and have great hockey IQ. Thirdly, I always try to be the hardest working on my teams, make sure I win every puck battle, never shy away from playing the body, and always finish my hits. Lastly, I put in the work off the ice, I am always staying ahead of my school work and doing good in the classroom, as well as getting in the gym and practicing hockey on my own time, taking the time to make sure I get better. I believe I am a different from other recruits athletically because of my love and passion for the game. I love competing and being awarded with a win after a hard fought game. The feeling after winning a hockey game is like no other. I believe I am different because of my will to compete at the highest level and to never give up in any game situation, and that I will always put my best effort out on to the Ice. I'm different in character then other recruits because I fully respect my coaches and teammates. I show great character to my coaches by always listening to what they have to say, then going out to put that into practice. Even when being yelled at, I will show no disrespect to my coaches. Lastly I am different academically then other recruits because of my time management, I like to stay ahead of school because hockey is very time consuming and leaves me little time for school. Staying ahead allows me to never fall behind helping me maintain good grades, to reach my goal in playing hockey at the NCAA Level.
