My name is Brody Stearns and I have been playing hockey for three years. I am currently a Senior at Foothill High School located in Henderson, Nevada. I play Right Wing at 5' 10" and 145 pounds for the house league at America First Center. Although I have only recently started playing the sport, I really enjoy the game and hope to continue playing at the next level of hockey. I'm committed to fine-tuning my puckhandling skills, speed, physical play, and overall hockey IQ. Past coaches have told me that I am a very coachable player and I welcome any advice or opportunity to get better. I am a dedicated, hardworking, and resilient player on the ice.
Academics are just as important as the game of hockey to me. My entire Junior High School I was on the A/B Honor Roll. In addition, I was elected into the National Junior Honor Society for 7th and 8th grade. Since entering High School, I have maintained an almost perfect GPA (3.95 - Unweighted) and have been on the A/B Honor Roll my entire High School career. Just like I challenge myself on the ice, I challenge myself in the classroom. I take multiple Honors classes and AP/College courses. Just like in Junior High, I was selected by a teacher from a group of my peers to be part of the National Honor Society. I have been a part of my school's National Honor Society for my Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years of High School.
I consider myself very family oriented and my family means a lot to me. I have the support of my family to continue my dream of playing college hockey.
