2022-23 Highlights Personal Statement
Having dealt with a mother who has been battling cancer for many years and is terminal, I have had to grow up and have a tremendous amount of empathy, responsibility, and determination that many do not possess. My mother has instilled the attitude that no matter what is going on in your life you must "Get up, Suit up, and Show up!" I have always had a love for the game of hockey and have learned about mental toughness, the importance of being a great teammate and leader and, the importance of always leading by example. I pride myself on being the hardest worker as well as being a positive and encouraging role model on and off the ice. I enjoy giving back to my community in any way I can from coaching to organizing events for the betterment of my local community including organizing a fundraising skate for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. My intention is to play at the highest level possible and to have a career in and around the game of hockey for the rest of my life.
