Steven Garbowski '25 Recruiting Profile

As an ice hockey goalie, I've spent a significant portion of my life dedicated to the sport, and it has shaped me in profound ways. My passion for goaltending has not only pushed me to be better at my position, it has also given me a deep sense of discipline, commitment, and resilience that I carry into all areas of my life, including my family and education.

What sets me apart as a goaltender is my commitment to teamwork and a strong work ethic. I believe that individual success is achieved as a team, and I am constantly pushing myself and my teammates to reach our full potential. I have often stepped into leadership roles, serving as a captain and being a leadership voice in the locker room.  In addition, I was awarded the “Future Team Leader” award as a sophomore on my varsity team.  

These experiences have taught me the importance of being a role model both on and off the ice.  Coaches that I work with have commented on my coachability and willingness to listen, learn, and improve.
