I started playing hockey when I was 5 years old. I started watching hockey and following all the teams. My kindergarten teacher would fact check me when I would give the hockey report during our morning "meeting." I can't remember a time I didn't play or follow hockey. From when I was in learn to play, I also always wanted to be a goalie. I was always in the net. My first shot to be a goalie was in roller hockey and I was hooked. When I entered my 3rd season of learning to play hockey, my coaches suited me up as a goalie. I can say I felt complete. I am in my freshman year of high school and on the high school JV team. I want to continue to play into college and I want my future to be in the field of hockey/NHL either on or off the ice. I am team a player and believe as a team we win or lose. I strive to be the best but I know there is always someone better and I need to be prepared to face them, that is what will continue to make me better and one of the best. I want to be surrounded by coaches willing to put time into their players to not find fault but to correct bad habits and build on making players better. I have my own style of being a goalie and I continue to work with a goalie coach to balance fundamentals along with my style.
