Ivan Petrov '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ivan Petrov and I play for the 18U AAA New Jersey Titans in Middletown, NJ. Although I am a defenseman, I can be beneficial to my team on both sides of the ice, from defending to producing offense and attacking.  My size also allows me to play the body well and prevent attackers from making it into dangerous high scoring areas. I have been playing hockey since I was three years old and have been in love with the sport since I began. Hockey has helped me create friendships and bonds that can't be found anywhere else. I believe that one of the most important things is to be coachable, and to fulfill my coaches wishes. Although hockey is a huge part of my life, academics are too. I strive to be the best that I can be academics wise, and I most notably enjoy mathematics, statistics, and numbers. I am able to take criticism from my peers and get better based off of it; I'm able to give criticism to help my peers improve so that they can also become the best version of themselves.
