Zachary M. Hammond '21
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement. I am 5'11" 165 lbs defensemen who is a leader on and off the ice. Early in my high school career, I committed to self-development, maximizing opportunities, and demonstrating my passion to compete at the collegiate level athletically and academically.
As my highschool experience winds down I am very proud to reflect and know that I achieved my goal of honoring Don Bosco's tradition which says “education is a matter of the heart". I have accomplished this by bringing my best to the Don Bosco community as Class Secretary, State Champion Varsity Ice Hockey Player 2020-2021 Team Captain, volunteer youth basketball coach, and student carrying a 3.6 GPA.
I am proud to say I have accomplished my high school goals which included contributing to and earning an opportunity to lead Don Bosco’s hockey team, work in Don Bosco’s ministry services, and excelling academically. By accomplishing these goals I have acted as a model of excellence through quiet calm confident performance over the last four years.
I am looking forward to bringing the very same commitment and achieving a new set of goals at the Juniors & College levels.
