My journey in lacrosse has not only helped me become a better player but also as an all-around person. It has taught me to be adaptable and to do what is best for the team. I had played attack for seven years until I was asked to step in as goalie for my eighth and final year of youth lacrosse. The skills and lacrosse IQ I learned from playing attack - such as understanding what the offense is trying to do, shot placements, and proper defensive positioning - better prepared me to play the goalie position, which is a position that further utilizes my skills. Since I started playing goalie, I tried to get as many reps as I could in front of the net and did so by playing in tournaments for Philippines Lacrosse, True Colorado, Colorado Freeze (box lacrosse), and Pacific Northwest All-Stars (box lacrosse). This upcoming year, I have already been invited to return to True Colorado and will be trying out for the box teams again, in addition to playing for Prairie View High School.
Beyond playing, my involvement in lacrosse also includes starting a stringing/dyeing company (Bison Lax Strings), coaching youth, and officiating. My goal is to be involved with the game of lacrosse in every way that I can.
