John Katz '25 Recruiting Profile

I love Lacrosse, so much so that I drive an hour to Telluride, the closest town with a team, every day just to play. I do so while taking rigorous College Level courses and maintaining a 3.65 GPA going into my Senior year. Growing up with a father who played at the collegiate level I had a stick in my hand at an early age, playing catch in our backyard once I could hold a FiddleStx. Now in the off season I play Box Lacrosse as a field player to help develop my mobility out of the cage. Throughout my high school career I've had a goal to play at the collegiate level, to bring my years of experience, athleticism, coachability and desire to my next team. Watching my inspiration Kyle Bernlohr and other professional goalies as well as being coached by Adam Ghitelman gave me a glimpse of what it was like to be a goalie at the highest level. I want to continue to work hard in college alongside my teammates and coaches, making the team the best we can be.
