My goal as a young student athlete has always been to pursue my dream of playing Division 1 lacrosse. Since I first picked up the lacrosse stick at 8, the sport has been my passion. Lacrosse is how I truly express who I am and at the same time display the talent that I have. One of my strongest assets as a player is my coachability. I know how to listen and take feedback to help improve my game. To me, that is one of the most important pieces of team sports. Being a coachable player allows me to get better, while working with my teammates to improve as a team. Currently at Avon Old Farms, I have been playing midfield, even though I spent most of my lacrosse career as an attackman. I have made this transition since arriving at Avon. At midfield I can use my speed to get by defenders and on the other side of the field, use my grit to lock people down on defense. My coaches at Avon and I believe that I have quickly adapted to the position and as a result, I am even more of a threat playing both sides of the field. Academically, I had a solid first and second quarter at Avon, earning a place on the Dean's List. While I have always had some trouble with math, I have been attending regular extra help sessions to help me improve. Having the opportunity to attend Avon Old Farms and play lacrosse every day is having a tremendous impact on both my lacrosse skills and my personal relationships with teammates and other members of the Avon community.
