James Stelmak '26 Recruiting Profile

Academics have always been a priority for me.  As I start my junior year, I look forward to continuing my education on a high level and look forward to posting my grades as soon as they become available.  

Athletically, my goal is to continue to compete in a varsity spot on our high school Lacrosse team. I currently play for BBL North Lacrosse in NJ as well as our High School Team.  I regularly spend time trying to become a better player. I train weekly with my goalie coach to work on improving my skills. In addition, I work on my physical fitness through high intensity interval training, agility training as well as lots of ice hockey! 

I have been a lacrosse goalie for 8 years now and have been playing lacrosse overall for 9.  I have played Ice hockey since I was 5 years old. 

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy teaching younger goalies what I have learned over the last few years and will continue to do that because I remember what a great feeling it was to learn from the older guys. 

While sports and academics are incredibly important to me,  I realize that giving back is equally important.  I regularly volunteer for a charity called Rock Our Vets, that helps veterans who are coming back from active service and need a helping hand as well as Family Circle and the NY Marathon.
