Personal Statement

Whether moving from baseball to tennis or French to Latin, I strive to excel in all of my endeavors, including sports, academics, extracurriculars, and internships. Although I started playing tennis in 8th grade and fencing in 9th, I have worked diligently to acquire the skills necessary to win a spot on both varsity teams. This drive, acumen, and commitment is visible in my academics, leadership positions and internships with an investment bank and an NGO that focuses on finance, law, tech, and sustainable infrastructure in the developing world. Recognized by coaches, peers, teachers and employers, I am a good listener and quick learner, easily coachable, adaptable, and ambitious.

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. In my Freshman year, only two honors classes were offered : 1) English Honors and 2) Algebra II Honors. I qualified, enrolled and received an A in both classes. In my Sophomore year, only three honors classes were offered 1) English Honors, 2) US History Honors and 3) Chemistry Honors. I qualified, enrolled and received As in all three classes. For math, I qualified for AP Pre-Calc (discussed below)

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. In my Sophomore year, I am currently enrolled in AP Pre-Calc and AP Computer Science where I have received As.

I have traveled to Serbia, France, Spain, Turkey, Germany, and the Caribbean. Next stop: Mozambique for work Internships in Financial Empowerment Partners, MWM Consulting, Operation Water (Spring - Summer 2024) and Stifel Investment Banking (summer 2024)
