Personal Statement
Academic Goals and Achievements:
I am looking for an academic setting that offers Mechanical Engineering. I am pursuing schools that offer both what I am looking for in academics, as well as being able to play lacrosse.
I want to pursue a career as a mechanical engineer to build and design machines to better peoples lives or build prosthetic limbs for injured soldiers. I have always enjoyed hands on experience for building new things, and I explored this hobby when I joined the solar
car competition in 2015. My partner and I won the state competition and went to the national competition in Tennessee, and the following year having placed first again, we were flown out to the national competition that was hosted in Florida.
- My high school GPA has been a consistent 4.0 or above
- I received a 1330 cumulative SAT score, 670 in the English portion, and a 660 in math.
- I was inducted into the National Honors Society for my outstanding performance in Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.
