Carter Woods '21 Recruiting Profile

    Volunteering at a skilled nursing facility during the holidays and working hard in AP and Honors classes at school take lots of discipline and hard work. These are two things that I try to do in everything in my life. I am currently a senior at Thurston High School in Springfield Oregon, I hold a 3.96 GPA and academics are extremely important to me. My goal is to go to a University and play lacrosse. I play lacrosse year round and travel 113 miles one way for practice once a week during the winter and twice a week during the summer. I also train with a University of Oregon goalie every weekend. I play football which includes weight training and conditioning most of the year. I have lettered in lacrosse all years of my high school career, and have been the started since my sophomore year. I am also a team captain.

    Coaches have commented on how coachable and determined I am. I may not be the biggest or fastest but I always work my hardest to be the best. As a goalie I am a leader of the team and even on new travel teams, my teammates quickly listen and look to me for guidance during games.
