Liam Taylor '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I am Liam Taylor and I want to start by saying I have a huge love for the game of lacrosse, as does my family.  Lacrosse is a family affair in my house. I wish I could play everyday all-day.  I enjoy that lacrosse is a challenging game, in more ways than one.  In addition to playing for my High School team I spend time trying to build a good team.  My High School team has a lot of players with different skill levels and with many different personalities and I take that on as a challenge.  I am a huge fan of fundamentals.  I work every day to improve my stick skills. I never want to stop trying to improve. I believe in being able to play at both ends of the field.  I enjoy playing both offense and defense.  I understand how and when to slide, I can read who is open, when to cut, and I am quite skilled at dodging.  I know how to be a team player and a good teammate.  In addition to playing on several teams, I referee at the youth level because I want to be more than just a player.  I believe that this gives me a better understanding of the game and allows me to see the game from the ref point of view.  It has given me a deeper level of respect for the referees. 

I hope I am able to play at the next level but if I don’t I still want to be associated with lacrosse.  I want to attend College so I can provide for myself and be successful in life.  I am planning on joining either the Air Force or the Navy after college.  I am Liam Taylor and hopefully I am a good fit for your team.
