Academically, I am an honor roll student in a very challenging curriculum at Norfolk Academy with a 3.6 GPA. I was hand selected as one of six students in my class to be a member of the Batten Leadership Engineering, Design and innovation (EDI) Program. Additionally, I am a member of the Norfolk Academy Orchestra where I play the cello. All of these activities are making me a better student, leader, and person.
Outside of academia, I am a three-sport athlete. I play football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and lacrosse in the spring. All of my coaches will tell you I am a very hard worker, a leader on and off the field, have a great sense of positioning and spacing, and am extremely coachable. I was the captain of the JV football and JV basketball teams.
Although I play three sports, lacrosse is where I excel the most and quite honestly, my favorite. I made the varsity team as a freshman and helped our team reach the Virginia Independent Schools State semi-finals. My sophomore year, i started several games and was always in when the game was on the line. Additionally, I play for the Richmond Hawks 2025 AA team and have played in various elite tournaments on the East Coast. I am a very unselfish player, always willing to make the extra pass so the team scores. I am an excellent defender and am not afraid to mix it up for ground balls. I need to work on my one-on-one game, but I am confident as I continue to mature and grow, I will become a well-rounded player who is a threat anywhere in the field.
What makes me special, as a player, student, and person, is my grit. As a true 2025, I am constantly playing with athletes 2-4 years older than me in experience and size. However, I have learned how to take advantage of my quickness and game IQ, always being in the right place on the field. I am confident once i mature physically, I will become a very explosive player that would be a benefit to any team. Most importantly, I have my emotions under control and can turn disappointment into a learning opportunity. I am always looking for feedback to become better and will put in the work required to improve.
