Michela Jones '21 Recruiting Profile

Basketball has been my passion since I was two years old! While I have played club ball since I was in the second grade, I enjoy learning about the game. In fact, my coaches have often commented on my high basketball IQ. I am a 5'6 point guard and shooting guard from Norfolk, Virginia. In the eighth grade, I was the sixth man and as a ninth grader, I started on the varsity team at Norfolk Academy. As a ninth grader, I helped my team win the conference championship and was selected for 2nd team All Conference and the All Tournament team. Currently, I am an Honor Roll student with a 3.3 GPA (or 91 based on my school's grading scale). I am also one of six (6) students in my class selected to participate in Norfolk Academy's Global Health Fellows program.

My goal is to find a college or university that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I am willing to consider schools in any division, but am very focused on the academic opportunities. Athletically, I hope to play an important role on my team. While I have not settled on a major, I am considering careers in the sports or health care fields.
