I grew up playing many sports, but when I started rowing in 8th grade, I knew I was hooked. To me, there is nothing like rowing. This sport tests me every day on my physical fitness, mental toughness, team dynamics, endurance and grit. I push myself to my limits and I am proud to see results that exceed my expectations.
I know I have more to learn. I am looking for a team that will give me the tools to become the best rower I can be. I know that working together with my coaches and teammates will create something where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
I want to row in college because rowing makes me a better student. The strategies I use in rowing like scheduling, discipline and repetition are the same I use in my studies. For me, rowing and studying are the two things that I work the hardest on and am the most proud of.
