I am a very committed rower and coxswain. I show up and put my best effort into practice. Rowing is a tough sport, but I love it and make it one of my top priorities. I am in all honors classes and balance my time between school and rowing. I'm optimistic in the face of challenges, and I always try my hardest. Rowing is a team sport. I'm good at communicating and cooperating with my teammates. Whether I row or cox in college, I will be committed to improving myself and helping out my team.
I currently row for St. Louis Rowing Club. I row port or starboard, but I also cox. I started rowing in spring 2020 right before quarantine, but I stuck with the sport and continued to exercise at home. Unfortunately, I couldn't race until the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions, but I persevered through quarantine and multiple seasons without races. I am committed to rowing, and I am excited to continue participating in such an amazing sport throughout high school and into college.
Rowing is a sport that requires incredible dedication and commitment. Rowing is a team sport, and I communicate well with my team and coaches. I have the communication skills necessary to communicate with my boat and coaches as both a rower and coxswain. I am hardworking and have a constant desire to improve.
I take all honors and AP classes, and I keep a high GPA. I am a co-leader for my school's Environmental Club, which talks about ways in which students and the school can improve their impact on climate change. I currently volunteer for a non-profit that strives for equity in education.
