Coming in third for the New Jersey State Champs in the JV Quad my sophomore year may have seemed to be a nice accomplishment for a second year rower, but I want more, much, much more. I started my Freshman Career being the first freshman to compete in a singles race in my school’s history. I am proud of this accomplishment. I had just started sculling a few months prior. All the more impressive, because my school has a pretty cool winning tradition in crew.
I am honored to Row for Holy Spirit High School. My High School had been a national powerhouse in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The crew program had six members on it when I showed up. We are a determined group. I am particularly proud that I am a great team mate. I try to encourage my team mates and often am the voice of calm when things go haywire either in training or during a race. I was able to recruit 6 six other kids to come out this and last year. We have world class coaching from Assistant Coach Stan Bergman who had been the Head Coached at University of Pennsylvania, and head Coach Mike Giegereich who has coached many school boy National Champion Crews. My Coaches are big on being able to scull. Everyone can row a single on my team. And I love every minute of it!! I am able to row Port, Starboard, Pairs, Doubles, Quads, Fours and Singles, you name it I can row it.
I am looking for a great fit for my college career not a good fit. I an extremely hard worker, a great team mate and will thrive in the correct setting. I am someone you want on your team. NO DRAMA ALL WORK!
