James Barrett '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a third year rower for Mainland Regional High School. I can row both port and Starboard. I originally thought rowing was just going to be a sport that I did to keep myself active, but it became so much more than that. Ever since my first practice with my team I knew that this was the sport I loved and needed to continue past my high school career. The nature and competitiveness of crew is why I love it so much. The personal goals I am able to achieve to help bring the best out of me truly makes this sport special to me, but also the team goals with my crew members and the satisfaction I get when we achieve something together is a feeling that I will never forget. Rowing in college is something that could truly change my life forever.
