My goal is to become a top tier rower and a integral part of a team, aspiring for championships. I want to be on a team of like minded people collectively working towards a greater goal. I am a good learner, very coachable, and I always show up to practice either early or on time and ready to work. I am a team player who has moved from stroke seat to other seats depending on the needs of the team. Since a boat is only as strong as its weakest rower I work just as hard to improve my own rowing as I do to improve the rowing of others on my team. I have learned that the only limits are the ones you put on yourself. In my sophomore year I started the fall season with perceived limitations, and as I pushed past those limitations my erg times improved dramatically, and I was able to do this while maintaining high academic standards. My dedication to rowing has not only improved my erg times, but it has also helped me be able to work well and communicate with others.
