Jack Silveria – Rowing Athlete I’m a sophomore at Barrington High School in Barrington, RI, and I’ve been rowing since the summer before 7th grade in 2021. I fell in love with the sport immediately and aspire to row at the collegiate level. I started at East Bay Rowing, where I rowed sweep and quickly progressed from Novice to Varsity by Fall 2022. In Spring 2023, I stroked our men’s boat to the semi-finals at the Northeast Championship Regatta. I also served as team captain and contributed to the board, promoting a competitive and supportive environment. In Spring 2024, I transferred to Narragansett Boat Club, where I’m learning to scull. I row sweep port and often in stroke seat but am now focusing on developing my sculling skills. I maintain a 3.8 GPA while taking honors classes, balancing both academics and athletics. I also aim to become a pilot in the future. |
