"Have fun by working hard,” this saying of my Coach Danylo Ayllon has become a motto in my life whether it be playing soccer, weight lifting or even academics. Being a teammate comes naturally to me, and playing soccer has always been my greatest pleasure. Working together with 10 other players on the field brings me such joy; especially when everyone is working hard and an has an intense passion for the game. Living in the Bay Area, a commitment to social justice is important to me and I’m striving to develop my ability to see the world through the lens of others. I also try to maintain a growth mindset, one that helps me improve in every aspect of my life. This means when I make a mistake, I learn from it and propel myself forward. In many cases learning from mistakes has helped me turn weaknesses into strengths.
