Hello Coaches, My name is Andrew Beaton, Class of 2022. Through out my lifetime, I have had a lot of personal victories and downfalls, but some of my greater victories happen outside of school, as well as on the field. I am a head lifeguard at the local swim center and have been a leader through many natural disasters that happened working for the Santa Cruz County Office Of Emergency Services. I have also been a leader on the field specifically when it comes to the defensive line and the referees. When an interaction between one of my teammates and the referees, during a time when the referees are especially aggravating, I tend to be the person who patches things up with my team to calm them down, and speak with the ref to make sure my team is taken care of. I am very big on taking care of my community in any way that I can.
As a High School student, I tutor other classmates, I am also a part of my school leadership organization, I am class treasurer, where we debate information and try to make life and events at our school more geared towards engaging students and making everyone feel included.
Aside from this, however, I do know how to sit back and let other people thrive when they need to, a team player if you will.
