My name is Samuel Ovesen I have played and loved soccer since I was 4 years old. I am a tall, versatile, fast, and technical player. My goal is to play D1 soccer and continue on to the professional level whether local or overseas. Starting in 2014, I played competitively with Arsenal Colorado Developmental Academy. I also played 3v3, placing 3rd in 2013, and 2nd in 2014. Our team name was the Wreckers. We placed 1st in the Super Regionals 3v3 tournament in the year of 2015. In 2017 I transferred from Arsenal Colorado DA to play with the Colorado Rapids Developmental Academy. In August 2017, I traveled to Galway, Ireland with the Colorado Rapids DA U14's. My team was successful and we won the Galway Cup under coach Marcelo Balboa. I have been captain of my team for over 5 years. I currently am the starting Centerback for the Colorado Rapids Academy U17’s.
The adrenaline rush and quick changes of the game generates my love for the game. I love feeling the pressure and competing highly against other players. Having a ball at my feet is a new world for me and helps me relieve stress and let go of anything bothering me. I have worked hard in school to maintain good grades, currently a 3.8 GPA.
I feel my hard work and dedication has helped prepare me for the next stage of my life. I am looking forward to playing at the next level with great coaches and players.
