Well, in a way this sport has always been part of my culture. Growing up with the love of the sport in Düsseldorf, Germany and always possessing a need to work harder and be better than everyone else. Because in the long run, that one inch from the ball to my glove can have the biggest impact on a season. Of course it's still necessary to have fun on the pitch, but the respect for other teams and players is vital to a successful career. As well as off the pitch, it is necessary that if you want to accomplish anything in life and especially with soccer, your physical and mental health has to be maintained, meaning no drugs, alcohol or parties and that is a sacrifice I am making and will any day because success isn't given, its earned.
